Hairspray Holiday Workshop Week (7 - 14yrs)

Join us for our Hairspray The Musical Workshop Week this summer, open to all musical theatre lovers age 7 - 14 years. We’ll spend our week dancing and singing to all the best Hairspray hits as we travel back in time to the 1960’s! We’ll work on characterisation, acting roles and performanc …moree skills during our ‘scene setting sessions’. We’ll also create our own props, backdrops and posters for our end of week showcase on the Friday afternoon. No dance or musical theatre experience is required to join in this workshop week. Specifically aimed at our younger dancers aged 5 - 8 years old, this workshop will take us to the island of Motunui in the South Pacific Ocean where we will dance, sing and act to all our favourite songs and scenes from Moana & Moana …more2! Performers will take part in daily classes and crafting sessions as we prepare for and end of week performance for family & friends on the Friday afternoon. Participants will be split into groups based on level …moreof ability and experience and will take part in daily classes under guidance from both RDA teachers and guest workshop instructors. Improver Level - Students in this class should be able to do the following to get the most out of their week with us; - Forward Roll to standing - Handstand - Cartwheel - Push-up into Bridge - Fall back into Bridge Advanced Level - Students in this class should be able to do the following to get the most out of their week with us; - Backbend Kickover/Walkover - Bridge Recover - Front Walkover - One Handed Cartwheel - Flying Cartwheel - Chest/Elbow/Head Balances less
